We have provided this table as an aid to calculating the postage charge that is to be added to your purchase when using the online shopping cart. Once you have calculated the postage amount you can add it to your purchase by clicking on the add to cart button next to the amount at the bottom of this page. You can also use this aid to add the postage amount to other purchase methods such bank deposit or orders sent by mail.
How to Calculate the Ship Rate
Most products will have an associated Ship Rate value next to the part number on the web page related to that product. For purchases of more than 1 item add the individual Ship Rate per item to obtain a total combined Ship Rate. When adding the combined ship rates please round up to the next highest Ship Rate. For example if you purchase two items, one with Ship Rate 3 and the other with Ship Rate 5 the total combined Ship Rate is 8, this would result in a rounded up Ship Rate of 10.
On many occasions when purchasing two or more items with higher shiprate values, it may be possible to combine the items into one package with a resultant smaller overall shiprate than the combined total. This may result in significant postage savings, so please check with us .
Variations:
When purchasing up to 4 items that all have an individual Ship Rate of 0 the total combined Ship Rate is 0. When purchasing five to ten items that all have an individual Ship Rate of 0 the total combined Ship Rate is 1. All other combinations please check with us before proceeding.
When purchasing up to 4 items that all have an individual Ship Rate of 1 the total combined Ship Rate is 1. When purchasing five to ten items that all have an individual Ship Rate of 1 the total combined Ship Rate is 3. All other combinations please check with us before proceeding.
Of course this guide will not apply in all situations. Therefore we ask our customers that if they are not sure, then please ask and we will only be to happy to provide postage costs.
The guide is under development and not all delivery areas may be listed. If your delivery area is not listed or you are unsure then please ask us for the shipping costs to add to your total.
Once you have calculated the Ship Rate - you can then calculate the postage charge
To calculate the postage charge use the Ship Rate calculated above in the table provided below. Find the matching Ship Rate value column to intersect with the row that matches your delivery area the value displayed is the total delivery charge for your purchase. Add the delivery charge to the total purchase price in your Shopping Cart. Use the add to cart buttons at the end of this page.
Examples
You have just purchased four items each with a Ship Rate of 0 and need them delivered to Brisbane.
Your total Ship Rate is 0 (four items each with Ship Rate of 0). Find the matching Ship Rate 0 column then find the Brisbane row, which in table is called 'Melb, Bris Metro' giving you a total delivery charge cost of $7.00. Now simply add $7.00 as the delivery charge to your shopping cart items using the add to cart button at the end of this page.
You have just purchased two items, one has a Ship Rate of 1 and the other has a Ship Rate of 3 and need them delivered to Penrith, NSW. Your total Ship Rate is 5 (1 + 3 = 4 rounded up = 5). Find the matching Ship Rate 5 column then find the Penrith NSW row, which in table is called 'Sydney Metro and outer Metro' giving you a total delivery charge cost of $10.00. Now simply add $10.00 as the delivery charge to your shopping cart items using the add to cart button at the end of this page.
