AOE20x80T 80mm Triplet Objective Giant Binoculars - 20x80

The AOE20x80T sets new standards in its class. It is a robust high-performance rich field instrument for demanding amateur astronomers, as well as a fantastic binocular for birdwatchers, surveillance as well as long distance terrestrial (land) use .
With a weight of only 2.4kgs the 20x80 triplet is still considered a lightweight binocular and can therefore be mounted on quality photo tripods. The integrated tripod adaptor beam allows for simple adaptation to any photo tripod without the need for any further adaptors. Just set it up within a few seconds and begin superb observations of both wildlife and the night sky! At 20x magnification, the resolving power is excellent whilst at the same time providing excellent image brightness due to the large aperture, very high quality fully broadband multi-coatings and fine BaK-4 prisms.

Superior Image Quality Through The Innovative Triple Objective Technology:
Standard binocular objectives consist of two lenses each. The new three-lens design of the AOE20x80T triplet allows for superior correction without the need for expensive ED substrates. Successfully introduced into the telescope market years ago we now offer the superior triple objectives in our range of quality binoculars.

Less field curvature - the image field is quite flat and there are no disturbing distortions
Better colour correction - in strong-contrast objects you will notice a dramatic reduction in chromatic aberration, further enhancing contrast and image sharpness
Better sharpness over the entire field of view - three lenses allow for better correction over the entire field of view which helps stars to remain small points even at the edge of the field.

Full Broadband Multi-Coating:
Even if the objective of a binocular is perfect, a poor coating can destroy the image, killing contrast. All our binoculars feature the best multi-coating on all optical surfaces. The image is noticeably brighter and contrast is much better than with simple coatings. Often this will make the difference between distinguishing a small detail and failing to see it at all.

Central Mounting Bar And Its Advantages:
The front lens section of the binocular is firmly connected to the rear assembly, significantly enhancing its mechanical properties. At the same time twin images become less likely and collimation issues are significantly reduced.
A photo tripod adaptor (using a standard 1/4" thread) is part of the design and there is no need for any further adaptors. One major advantage of this design feature is that it allows you to always balance the binocular in its centre of gravity, thus reducing strain to your tripod.

Hard Carrying Case
During transport the binocular is safely stored inside a hard carrying case.
